You’ve Got This

When I left my job to become a stay-at-home mom, I left a co-worker, and friend, handling all of my previous duties until a replacement could be hired. It was a BIG job.  Her new responsibilities required her to manage 100+ speakers and volunteers at the nonprofit’s annual conference.  In anticipation of the anxiety she would likely feel, I arranged for a large bouquet of flowers with a message of encouragement to be waiting in her hotel room upon check-in. I had hoped that it would simply brighten her day, remind her she was fabulous and fully capable of handling the job, and let her know that while I wasn’t there to help, I was definitely thinking of her.  She called me crying, telling me it was exactly the pick-me-up she needed to ease some of the stress and start the conference off on the right foot, and that at the end of the long stressful days, it gave her the boost of confidence to get up and do it all again the next day. -J, 39

She’s amazing and totally bossed up. Tell her!
